Welcome to Centre First Counselling

About Centre First Counselling

Centre First Counselling was created to be a place of collaboration and safe communication between counsellor and client.

The name Centre First Counselling  was influenced by a love of pottery. One of the fundamental skills in throwing pottery is centering the clay. This is important…

When we apply this way of thinking to mental health, we see that no matter what the subject matter or timeline our goal is to grow the skills of being able to regulate and be present. The more we regulate and move into alignment with ourselves, we create the conditions for safety in our bodies and mind. When we take the time to centre ourselves each session, we create the space to build. We continue to work on ourselves constantly creating the wonder that is us.

Our goal is to

  • Offer accessible mental health counselling
  • Create a space of collaboration
  • Offer a space free of judgement and full of safety

We offer virtual and telephone counselling during the early morning, daytime, evening and weekends to allow for better access. Limited sliding scale appointments are available for those who are in need.

It can be challenging to reach out for counselling. It can be frustrating to shop around for the right counsellor for you. Pat yourself on the back! You are in the process of taking care of you and that is exciting:) To make thing’s easier, we offer a 10 minute free consultation for you to ask questions and for us to see if we are a good for you at this time.
